1,000 year Millennium
This is not heaven!

Earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord – Habakkuk 2:14
God himself will rule (Theocracy) in judgment and justice – Jeremiah 23:5
He will not judge by sight or hearing—but in righteousness – Isaiah 11:3-4
Idolatry will be abolished – Isaiah 2:18
People will destroy their weapons because there will be no need for them – Isaiah 2:2-4
NO WAR during millennium – Isaiah 2:2-4
Everybody will be blessed by Christ – Isaiah 2:4-6
Everyone will serve Him – Daniel 7:14

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; and their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy on all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. – Isaiah 11:6-9

Views of the Millennium

In association with the Millennium, there are three main different views on where and how this takes place.
The one I hold to (known as pre-millennialism), is what is found over and over in scripture, and is most widely held to.
here are the different views in this area:
    1). Post-Millennial View:
The Second coming of Christ after the Millennium.
Order of events: The last 1,000 years of the church age are the Millennium (which will be an era of peace and abundance), then Christ will come. A general resurrection will follow.
Interpretation: The Post-Millennial interpretation is largely spiritualized with regard to prophecy. However, Revelation 20 will be fulfilled in the earthly kingdom that is brought in through the church's efforts.
Problem (Biblically): Paul wrote that he expected Christ to return at any time (look at Thessalonians). Jesus said that the world would get worse, not better in the end times. (Mat. 24).

    2). Ammillennial View:
The second coming of Christ is at the end of the church age and there is no Millennium.
Order of events: The church age will end in a time of trouble, Christ will come, there will be a general resurrection and judgment, then eternity.
Interpretation: The Ammillenial interpretation spiritualizes the promises made to Israel as a nation and says they are fulfilled the church. According to this view, Revelation 20 describes the souls in heaven.
Problem: This view completely distorts Revelation 20, and ignores all references made to the Millennium.

    3). Pre-Millennial View:
The Second coming of Christ will occur before the millennium
Order of events: The church age ends in the time of the Tribulation. Christ returns to earth, sets up and rules His kingdom for 1,000 years. The resurrection and judgment of the unsaved will occur, then eternity.
Interpretation: Pre-Millennialism follows the plain, normal, literal, and grammatical method of interpretation. Revelation 20 is taken literally.
This is the view that I hold, along with many scholars.
